The Main Department of Internal Affairs of the city of Moscow ((ロシア語:Главное управление внутренних дел по городу Москве)) or just Moscow Police ((ロシア語:Московская полиция)), established in 1722, is the largest municipal police force in Russia, with primary responsibilities in law enforcement and investigation in Moscow. The Moscow Police is one of the oldest police departments in Russia. Its headquarters are located at Petrovka 38 in Tverskoy District, Moscow. The Moscow Police is part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD); the police is also subordinate to the Moscow government.
